MakoBoards

Your test set,
tracked like a championship

MakoBoards turns the tests you already run into benchmarks you can rank and follow. Define the set, enter a whole squad in one pass, and watch it move across a season.

A MakoBoards ranking: every athlete listed in order for a chosen test set, with their time, the date, and stroke and suit badges.

Competition results, for the tests you invented

01

Define the test, not just the time

A 100 kick for time, or a multi-part step test with its own rep groups, distances, strokes, dive or push starts and send-offs. If you can run it on deck, you can describe it here.

02

Build it by saying it

Type or speak “4x100 free @ 2 00 dive SCY” and the builder fills in the name, pool, distance, structure, strokes and splits. You review and adjust rather than start from an empty form.

03

A whole squad in one pass

Pick the metric, the group, the date and the session, then key the times straight down the list. On a phone it uses its own number pad so you are not fighting the keyboard on the pool deck.

04

Ranked the way you want to read it

Filter by gender, age group, time period, stroke and suit, and switch between each athlete’s best and every swim they have logged. Export the result to CSV with the columns you choose.

05

Trends and comparisons

Chart up to five athletes against each other, look at progression over a season, and on split-based tests see pacing and fatigue across the reps rather than one aggregate number.

06

Let athletes log their own

Open any metric to self-entry and swimmers record their own results from the athlete app. Their entries land in the same rankings, marked as athlete-entered.

07

Tech suit and splits tracked

Record whether a swim was in a tech suit or in training kit, with a squad default and a per-athlete override, so a suited time never quietly flatters a season graph.

08

Locked for a reason

Once a metric has results, its structure locks. Changing the pool or distance later would make old and new results incomparable, which defeats the point of tracking them.

Questions

What can I track with it?
Any timed test you set. Metrics are time-based: you define the name, pool, distance and structure, then choose whether to track stroke, tech suit and splits, plus any custom fields you want on each result.
Can I change a metric after I have used it?
The name, description, custom fields and athlete-entry setting stay editable. The pool, distance, structure and tracking options lock once results exist, so older and newer results remain comparable. If you need a different structure, create a new metric.
If I delete a metric, do I lose the results?
No. Deleting a metric preserves the recorded results, they are simply unlinked from it. To edit or remove individual results, use review mode on the detail entry tab.
Can swimmers enter their own results?
Yes, for the metrics you open up. Turn on athlete logging for a metric, or for all of them at once, and swimmers log from the athlete app. Only the metrics you have enabled appear to them.
