Where does the data in MakoData come from?

MakoData is community-sourced. Every meet result a Mako coach imports — through HY3, SDIF, Lenex, or HYV — feeds the database, with athlete privacy controls in place. The bigger Mako gets, the deeper your benchmarks become.

Is MakoData included in my Mako Swim plan?

Yes. Every Mako Swim plan includes MakoData at no extra cost.

Can athletes opt out of public rankings?

Yes. Coaches and athletes have privacy controls in Settings, and junior athletes can be excluded by default. You decide what gets shared.

How do I compare a swimmer to elites like Léon Marchand or Summer McIntosh?

Search by event and course, and elite times appear in the same ranking your athletes do. Pin your athlete's PB to see exactly where they sit relative to the world's best.
